Norris Crawford Alexander, 76, died Thursday, January 12, 2012, at his residence. Services were held Sunday at Kimbro Funeral Home. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. Rev. Terrell McGregor officiated. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge. Alexander, born April 21, 1935, in Charleston, was a Baptist and a retired factory worker. Survivors include: two daughters, Janet McCullar and Jeannie Barbee; two sons, James "Red" Alexander and Norris Crawford Alexander Jr.; one brother, Edward Alexander of Baymont, Texas; one sister, Lona Faye Johnson of Sardis; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
