Wife of Robert Mann. Family tradition held that Mary's maiden name was Buchanan - a tradition passed down through the generations in at least two lines of descendants of daughters of Robert and Mary. No marriage record has been found for Robert Mann to Mary Buchanan but, rather, Robert Mann to Mary Bryant in Davidson County TN on November 7, 1806. Although it has not yet been proven, Bryant may have been our Mary's name from a previous marriage.
