1st husband was Henry Wolfkill who was killed in the War of 1812

According to the Biographical Sketches of Jeremiah H. Murry in the Illinois Sesquicentennial Edition of History of Christian County, State of Illinois BK I 1880, R6977.381, pg 216: He was a farmer in Adams County, Pennsylvania who was drafted into the United States service during the last war with Great Britain. He was a man of more than usually good musical talents, and belonged to one of the regimental bands. He accompanied the army to Black Rock, as it was then called, now the city of Buffalo. Through exposure, (the soldiers being compelled to sleep on rushes at night to keep themselves out of the water) he was taken with a fever, which occasioned his death.
