Swallows Woman Dies At Canon City.
Special to the Chieftain.

Canon City.Dec.29.-Mrs. Mary Richie Aiken, aged 30, died at the hospital here at 12:45 o'clock this morning from blood poisoning, complicated by pneumonia, after an illness of a little more than ten days. She was the wife of F.W. Aiken, agent of the Rio Grande railroad company at Swallows, who is also general chairman for the Order of Railway Telegraphers on the Rio Grande system.

Mrs. Aiken was the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. James P.Richie of Hillside and is well known in this county. Besides a husband and many relatives and friends, she leaves four children, three sons and a little daughter.

The remains were taken to Swallows on Rio Grande train No.2 this afternoon and will be buried from the family home there next Sunday.
