Great grandmother Cora was the daughter of Debytha A (Smith) & Samuel S. Surratt. Bythy/Bithy/Bytha was her mother's nick name (numerous spellings). Sister of Louis and Effie Surratt.
Cora married Virgil Ezra Henderson January 4, 1903 in Faulkner county, Arkansas.
Cora and Virgil were blessed with 2 children, Chester and Ethel Corrine Henderson.

Mrs. Cora Henderson Buried Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Henderson were held at the Forest Home school Friday afternoon after which burial was had in the Messer cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. W. E. White, pastor of the First Baptist church and under the direction of the Coffey-Campbell funeral home.
Mrs. Henderson died at the family home on route two west of Hugo at ten o'clock Thursday night after an illness of many months. She was fifty four years old at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband V.E. Henderson, two children, Chester Henderson, and Mrs. Coker of Hugo, a brother H. L. Surratt and mother Mrs. S. S. Surrat of Paris, Texas.
