CLAIMED BY DEATH: Mrs. Elizabeth Brown Died Unexpectedly Wednesday Morning -Funeral Friday: Elizabeth H. Brown, a widow, 88 years of age, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at about six o'clock, at her home in the northeast part of town. She had been a resident of the town for a number of years and part of the time had lived alone. For some time past a grand-daughter had been staying with her and for the previous several days her daughter, Mrs. John Flora, had also been with her and on Wednesday morning, a short time after Mrs. Flora and daughter had arisen they discovered the old lady was dead, although she bad spoken to them only a few minutes before. Organic heart trouble was the immediate cause of death. The deceased was born in Pennsylvania, Nov. 29, 1821 and was 88 years, 4 months and 21 days of age. She was the widow of Ephraim Brown, who died a number of years ago. She leaves two daughters-Mrs. Stephen Hill, of South Bend and Mrs. John Flora, of near this place; also one son-William Brown, of Ullin, Ill. The funeral will be held Friday. The friends will meet at the house at twelve o'clock and the remains will be conveyed to the Silver Bethel (Log Bethel) church south-west of here where Rev. Mrs. Martindale will conduct the services at about the hour of 1:30 o'clock.

Obituary of Elizabeth Brown: Elizabeth H. Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Burdge, was born in Pennsylvania, Nov. 29, 1821; departed this life April 20, 1910, at her home in Silver Lake, aged 88 years, 4 months and 21 days. She was united in marriage with Ephraim Brown, January 25, 1837 and to this union were born twelve children. Her husband died May 9, 1889. She was united with the Church of God, in her youth, and until death was always willing to put her trust in Jesus. On her last night in this world she was heard praying to her Master. She is survived by one son, two daughters, forty grandchildren and other relatives and friends. The funeral was held Friday April 22, at Silver Bethel church. Services were conducted by Łev. E. E. Martindale.
