Life Story of
Julius Larsen, 84
Julius Larsen was born in Denmark December 25, 1871. He died May 2, 1956, at the Salem Home in Elk Horn where he had been a patient the past four years. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Denmark
On May 2, 1902, he was married to Ella Mattsen and the couple settled in Kimballton, Iowa. In his earlier years he was a blacksmith in Poplar and Kimballton area, and in his later years, he was an auto dealer. He was active in public activities serving as mayor of Kimballton as well as on the school board and town council.
He is survived by a son, Elmer Larsen, of Baltimore, Md, and a daughter, Ethel, of Knoxville, Iowa. Also five grandchildren. His wife died in 1940.
Funeral services were held at the Immanuel Lutheran church at Kimballton with the Rev Holger Strandskov in charge. Burial was in the Kimballton cemetery.
Pall bearers were Jens Jorgensen, Arthur Nelson, Joseph Petersen, Clarence Nelson, Harry Petersen and Elmer Petersen.
