Mr. Lonnie David Ayers, age 69 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. He served his country in the US Army and was a retired auto mechanic.
Born Tuesday, January 22, 1946 in Ashland, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents Arren and Luttile Pate Ayers, sisters Eula Dortlon and Shirley Ballio and brothers Fred Ayers and Arnold Ayers.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brother Andrew Jackson Ayers, son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Dedra Vines, five grandchildren and seven great Grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 27 at Southern Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2015 at New Salem Cemetery of Crews, LA with Rev. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
