Funeral services for Carrie Mae Bessonette, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bessonette, 67, died Aug. 20, 2010, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. She was born in New Orleans, La., on June 7, 1943, to Wylie Everette Carden and Clydie Mullins-Carden.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Union Hall Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Wylie and Clydie Carden; and her son, Terry Glenn Case.

Survivors are her husband, Wesley Bessonette; her son, Carlos Chad Case; her daughter, Tammy Jackson; her brothers, John Carden, Oliver Carden, William Carden and J.W. Carden; her sisters, Ruthie Thomas, Mary Nell Carden and Kitty Crummey; her grandchildren, Shayla Melton and Elizabeth Case; and her great-grandchildren, Austyn Melton, Kayleigh Schmitt and Kaughner Melton.
