He was born in Monroe county, but came here while he was a boy, and was reared in Macon. He was a member of the Mt. Zion church near Lorane.
He is survived by three daughters Mrs. G.H. James, Mrs. R.D. Lumpkin and Mrs. B.S. Hogue, Macon; three sons, H.L. Cochran and Charles Cochran, Macon, and Daily Cochran, LaGrange; one sister, Mrs. Sallie Brown, Macon; 27 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon at Mrs. Lumpkin's residence with Rev. J. W. Ballard officiating. Internment will be in Mt. Zion cemetry."

He married Elizabeth Belle Piper on 20 October 1928 in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia.
