A Home Going Celebration in Loving Memory of Mrs Roberta L. Redding of 215 Smith Rd. Haddock, Georgia will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 - 1:30 P.M at Greater Jordon Chapel A.M.E. Church 1415 HWY. 22 East Haddock. Interment will follow at Adams Tabernacle C.M.E. Church Cemetery. Remains will be placed in state at the church at 12:00 noon. The Reverend Forrest Dickey - Pastor will officiate. Mrs. Redding made her peaceful transition to be with the Lord on Friday, July 29,2011 at the residence of her daughter in Macon, Georgia. She served faithfully in the ministry of her church until her health declined.Mrs. Redding was an honorary member of the Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Church of the Women's Society, Mother of her church and a dedicated member of the usher board. She leaves a legacy of love to be cherished by her five sons; John(Annie)Redding, Gus T. Redding Sr, Hudson M.(Roleina)Redding Sr., Prentiss (Cris) Redding all of Haddock, Georgia and Gregory (Mary) Redding of Ft. Washington Maryland. Three daughters; Pinkie Lewis of Macon,Georgia, Nannie (Larry) Whipple of Milledgeville and Elizabeth Gibbs of Macon, Georgia. Daughter in - law Lula Redding of Haddock, Georgia, three sisters in law; Mary Smith, Willie Mae Strong and Alberta Redding. Forty three grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, forty two great - great grandchildren and a loving host of relatives and friends.
