Leslie Chambers was a son of Andrew and Lotus Fender Chambers. He married Bernice Martin on May 27, 1950.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II in the South and Central Pacific in the Tarawa, Saipan, Tinian and Okinawa campaigns.
Mr. Chambers was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and his parents.
Mr. Chambers was a member of the First Christian Church in Villa Grove, Illinois.
He was a 1943 graduate of Villa Grove High School, retired in 1991 from USI Chemical Co. in Tuscola, Illinois and was a member of the Chrisman, Illinois, American Legion.
