Clarence E. Atkins, 87, of Claremont route 2, died Saturday evening at the Richland Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Atkins was born in Richland County June 2, 1884, son of Henry F. and Byanthia Lewis Atkins.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Roxie Gladdish Atkins.
Surviving are three sons and one daughter: Marley Atkins and Kermit Atkins, both of Claremont rt. 2., Wilbur Atkins of Sumner, and Mrs. Mary Mabel Hobbs of Findlay, Ohio. There are also four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Old Centenary Church.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Sivert Funeral Home, with Rev. Elijah Heath officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery west of Sumner. Friends may call after 5 pm.
