William Henry Bischoff, son of John Bischoff and his wife, Wilhelmina (nee Kastens), was born on May 26, 1893, at Elk Creek, Johnson County, Nebraska. On June 25, of the same year, he was received into communion with the Triune God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. In March 1901, he moved with his parents to Athol, Kansas. He renewed a baptismal convent in the rite of Confirmation on March 24, 1907. In 1908, the family moved to Wauneta, Chase County, Nebraska, where he lived until the time of his death.

On June 26, 1921, he was united in holy matrimony with Miss Katie Parde. This union was blessed with six children, two sons and four daughters.

He fell asleep in Jesus, we have reason to hope and believe, in true penitence and with faith in Christ, the Redeemer on Friday evening, October 1, 1943, at 9:25, at the age of 50 years, 4 months and 5 days.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Katie, two sons, Raymond and Dale; three daughters, Mrs. Vernon Shackelford, Elsie, and Gladys, also his aged mother, Mrs. Wilhelmina Bischoff, four brothers, Henry, Fred, John and Carl; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Denker, Mrs. Bertha Denker, Mrs. Sophia Nordhausen, and Mrs. Ella Winkelmann; also a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Clara, on July 21, 1934, at the age of four years and by his aged father, John Bischoff, Sr., on June 1, 1939.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the St. Paul's Lutheran church with Rev. W. H. Wendling officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery. C. E. Johnston Funeral Service was in charge.
