Ida Belle (Cole) Holland was born August 24, 1899, to the late Georgge Washington and Mary Jane (Hoover)Cole at Montauk, MO, and departed this life July 25, 1995 at Salem, MO.
She was united in marriage to Tommy H. Holland Aug. 31, 1919 to this union 6 children were born. She was baptized in 1938 in the Current River and was a member of the Hepsoda Church. She was a member of the Montauk Baptist Church at the time of her death.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and also with her church. She liked taking care of her flowers and doing needle work.
She was preceded in death by her husband, April 27, 1969, one son, Otto Holland Feb.15, 1992, five brothers, Jim, Richard, Henry, Ruben, and Burel Cole, Four sisters, Phobe, Meda, Edith, and Melissa. One granddaughter, Mary Lou Floyd; one great-grandson Bobby Dean White.
She is survived by one son, Eldon and wife, Elenora Holland of Licking. Four daughters: Velma and husband, Barney Cadle, Beulah and husband, Omer Floyd, Cledith and husband, Dean Hubbs, Goldie and husband, Lenza King all of Licking, also Elaine Childers of the home,28 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren. Also numerous nieces, nephews, other and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew ans loved her.
Services were held Friday, July 28, 1995, 10:00 a.m. at Montauk Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Pallbearers were: Joe Cadle, Gary Holland, Tom Holland, Tony Floyd, Stanley Floyd, and Steve Floyd. Interment was at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
