Arthur Dean Bach
(October 16, 1933 - August 17, 2009)

Arthur Dean Bach of West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday, August 17, 2009 at the St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY, at the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 1 day. He was born on Monday, October 16, 1933, the first of four children born to Marcum and Louetta Walton Bach.

Arthur Dean graduated from Cannel City High School. He was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Potter on May 23, 1953.

This union was blessed with two children, Devra Shawna and Kevin Dean. Arthur Dean was a United States Army Veteran serving his country in Austria and Germany during the Korean Conflict. After serving in the Army, he returned to West Liberty and worked at the Potter Funeral Home before going to embalming college at the Kentucky School of Embalming in Louisville, KY. He has been a faithful employee at the Potter Funeral Home for the past 56 years and was owner of Bach's Monuments for numerous years. He was a member of the Highland Masonic Lodge # 311 for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marcum Bach; one sister, Phyllis Bach Litteral; and one brother, Earl Darryl Bach.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce Ann Potter Bach; one daughter and son-in-law, Devra Shawna & Stephen Steele of West Liberty, KY; one son, Kevin Dean Bach of Louisville, KY; his mother, Louetta Walton Bach of Fairborn, OH; three grandchildren, Shawn Steele of West Liberty, Nashley and Cindy Steele of Lexington, KY, and Kelby and Crystal Steele of Ashland, KY; three great grandchildren, Jade Steele, Casey Steele, and Lauren Steele; one brother, Richard Dale Bach and wife Pam of Loveland, OH; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bach of Fairborn, OH; brother-in-law, George Litteral of Cannel City; one aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends, but never forgotten.

Funeral Service 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Potter Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY, with military rites conducted by the Morgan County DAV. Visitation 6 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
