PEORIA - Ellen Jane Cunningham, 66, of Peoria, formerly of Hanna City, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born April 19, 1944, in Yates City, a daughter of Caroll L. and Margaret Vance Cunningham.
Surviving are six brothers and sisters, Phillip (Carroll) Cunningham of Okeechobee, Fla., Douglas (Gloria) Cunningham of Delavan, Nancy (Richard) Schoenbein of Columbus, Ind., Joyce (Jim) Brinkneyer of Cleveland, Tenn., Stuart (Rebecca) Cunningham of Hanna City and Annette (Larry) Oppe of Hanna City; seven nieces; nine nephews; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Cunningham.
She was a member of Bethel Bible Church in Edwards, where she was active in several organizations. She was an active and recognized volunteer in the Peoria 4-H club, in which she served 19 years as the superintendent for mechanical science.
She was a caring aunt who was very involved in the lives of her nieces and nephews. She always enjoyed family gatherings.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Bethel Bible Church in Edwards. Pastor John LaFollette will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville. Burial will be in North Limestone Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hanna City.
