Cleopatra "Black" Glynn, a retired cook with Kappa Kappa Gamma at LSU and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Earl K. Long Medical Center. She was 72 and a native of Bueche.
Visiting at New St. John Baptist Church, religious service, conducted by the Rev. W. Marshall Myles. Interment in Orange Grove Cemetery, Port Allen.
She is survived by a daughter, Belinda Ann Glynn; four sons, Bobby Glynn, Rodney Glynn, Joseph Glynn III and Eric Lanier Glynn; eight sisters and three brothers-in-law, Dorthy McCue, Myrtle and Ernest Jones, Olevia and Joseph Griffin, Charlene and Merrell Porche, Delores Williams, Mary Lee Swazzes, Palo Alto, Calif., Margeret Richardson, Los Angeles, and Donna Lee Berland, Anchorage, Alaska; five brothers and their spouses, Sidney and Ora Lee Williams, Leo and Diana Williams, Isadore and Annette Williams, Leroy and Betty Williams, Los Angeles, and Bobby and Gilda Williams, West Palm Beach, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Glynn Jr.; parents, Gertrude English Williams and Sidney Williams Sr.; brother, Eugene Williams 1931-2005; and brother-in-law and his spouse, Emmitt Sr. and Rosemary Glynn.
