William "Dickey" Jordan Jr. A retired maintenance worker with the Louisiana Department of Revenue & Taxation, he died at 8:35 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 74, a native of Chamberlin and a U.S. Army veteran.

Religious service, conducted by the Rev. Joseph Riley. Dismissal at St. Mark Baptist Church, Chamberlin, West Baton Rouge Parish. Interment in Orange Grove Cemetery, Port Allen.

Survived by six daughters, Sandra and husband James LeDuff, Myra, Karen and Yolanda Jordan, Nancy Smith and Rose Mitchell; six sons, Harvey Jerome and wife Marilyn, Arnold, and Theodarryl James and wife Robin Jordan, Gregory Carmenia, Michael and wife Ruthann Carmenia and Kenny and wife Shakeria Brock; an aunt, Lillie Banks;

37 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his wife, parents, two sisters, brother, son, grandson and three infants.

He was a member of Stone Squares 8, Ismael Temple 154 and Baton Rouge Consistory 179.
