Sherry was the oldest of eight children born to Harold Lloyd and Emily Olia (Chapman) Herrin. She married William Jesse Dampier on December 26, 1964 in Immokalee, FL at the Church of God. They were married 42 years until his death in Feb. 2008. Sherry & Jesse had four children: William Shell, dob: 6/28/1966, Emily Joyce, dob: 8/12/1970, Kimberly Elgin, dob: 9/22/1979, Sherry Layne, dob: 9/26/1985 and 12 grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Aaron (Joy) Fields, Nicky (Kim) Lyon, & Noah (Layne) Pennington, 11 grandchildren, two brothers, Harold Herrin and Randy Herrin, and three sisters, Marie Redmond, Syble Gomez & Ann Salinas. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jesse, her son Shell, one grandson, Clayton and two brothers, Michael Herrin & Kenny Herrin.
