Lawrence Franklin Allen was the son of Lawrence "Sonny" and Bobbie Allen.
He worked for the Tuolumne County Road Department for 33 years.
He was an active member in the Native Sons of the Golden West, past vice president of the Sonora Model A Ford Club, past president of the Sonora Men's Bowling Association and past director of the Gold Country U.S. Bowling Congress.
In his younger years, he was active in men's softball.
He was an avid bowler and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He bowled the first 300 game at Black Oak Casino.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jackie Allen, of Sonora; son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Gene" and Theresa Allen, of Montana; grandchildren, Sarah Wright, of California, and Christopher and Melissa Allen, both of Montana; two great-grandchildren; an aunt, uncle and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Bobbie Allen.
