Anna S. Martin, 85, of Selinsgrove, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, Aug. 6, 2014, at The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
Anna was born on May 20, 1929, in Penn Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Enos S. and Katie B. (Stauffer) Martin. She was married to George M. Martin, who survives. Her passing breaks a loving marital union of 64½ years.
She attended the Kantz Parochial school.
Anna was a seamstress for 24 years at Shroyers Dress factory, Selinsgrove, and also assisted her husband with the family dairy farm.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, including flowers, traveling, puzzles, caring for animals and especially spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by three children and their spouses, Enos M. and Susan N. Martin, of Coopersburg, Mary A. and James R. Kiel, of Freeburg, and George E. and Melanie A. Martin, of Sunbury; five grandchildren, Alexander Martin, Peter Martin, Michael A. Kiel, Jamy M. Stenger and husband, Ken, and Zane L. Martin and wife, Caitlin; two great-grandsons, Cole Stenger and Levi Martin; one sister, Maria Graybill, of Selinsgrove; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Martha (Martin) Brubaker, of Port Trevorton; sister-in-law, Maddie Martin, of Kentucky; and nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Brubaker, and two brothers, Aaron and Menno Martin.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, followed by the funeral at 11, at Millmont Mennonite Church, 1310 Millmont Road, Millmont, with the ministry of the church officiating.
Burial will be made in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family requests no flowers. Memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Anna to the church
