Mrs. Boak was born May 23, 1922 in New Castle to Walter J. and Nellie Wiley Smith.She was married to the late James R. Boak. Lois was employed by P.A.R.C. as a caregiver. She graduated from Shenago High School and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate Fan.
Survivors include her daughter, Harriette (Dale) McCormick of New Castle; and son, Joseph H. (Carol) Boak of New Castle; four grandchildren, Kimberly Ritchie, Rachelle Myer, Terra Boak and Ryan Boak all of New Castle; and seven great grandchildren. A daughter-in-law, Lynn Boak also survives.Besides her parents and husband she was preceded by; one son, James Richard Boak; two grandchildren, James D. McCormick and Richard Lee Boak; two brothers, Richard A and Robert Smith; and one sister, Charlotte J. Hempskey.
