John Sherman Bowden, 79, retired farmer from Savanna, died Thursday afternoon, [29 December, 1960] at the Mount Carroll Nursing Home.
Sherman was born October 1, 1881, in Hanover, Jo Daviess County, Son of Isaac & Rachel Watson Bowden. Sherman married Myrtle R. Emery in May 1905, in Galena, she preceded him on 25 April, 1940.
Survivors; two Grandsons; Donald L. & Ray Bowden, and several Great Grandchildren.
Sherman was preceded in death by; his parents; Wife; Son, William Emery Bowden, and several siblings
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Law Funeral Home. Burial will be in Arnold Grove Cemetery, Mount Carroll.
