William Bryant Bass
DOERUN — William Bryant Bass, 60, of Doerun, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Dale Demott, Stanley Bass, John Bass, Mike High, Wayne Pollock and Randall High.
Born Oct. 6, 1947, in Colquitt County, he was the son of Ruth Pollock Bass and the late Robert Bryant Bass. He was a farmer and was formerly associated with the City of Moultrie and Wells Aluminum. He was a member of Hartsfield Baptist Church. He was an avid Packer football fan and enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins and the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include his mother of Doerun; one brother, Steve Bass and wife Paula of Moultrie; two sisters, Margaret Benton and husband Lamar of Rincon, Ga., and Becky Bass of Doerun; a special cousin, Dale Demott and wife Tonita of Doerun; nieces and nephews, Leah Marks, Robbie Wilson, Chad Bass and Kelli Martin; and several great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
