FOX - Services for Betty Lou Camp DeMorjian, 81, will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008, in the First Baptist Church of Fox with the Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Camp Family Cemetery in Fox under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City.

Born Nov. 13, 1926, in Alma to Alvin Ray Camp and Ethel Cleo Means Camp, she passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008, in Ardmore. She was preceded in death by a son, John Mulliken in 1979; her parents; a sister, Avanell Camp Branch on March 18, 2007; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Camp, on Feb. 24, 2007.

Betty was raised in the Fox area, attending school at the Camp School until the eighth grade. She graduated from Fox High School with the Class of 1944. She furthered her education, attending nursing school in Oklahoma City for two years.

Then she moved to New Jersey, residing there until 1965 when she returned to the Fox area. She began her employment with Stromberg Carlson at that time, retiring from there in the mid-1980s. In her retirement she moved to Tulsa, residing there until moving back here in 2004.

She enjoyed vacationing at Grand Lake and traveling throughout the United States and Europe with her family. She cherished the times spent with her grandchildren and took pleasure in cooking and making candy. She also enjoyed knitting and sewing.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Woolman and her husband, John, Tulsa, and Kathy Epley and her husband, Doug, Healdton; a son, Ronnie Mulliken, Ocean, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, Erin Fore, Lindey Fore, Ted Woolman, Taylor Hamilton, Josh Hamilton, Hayden Epley, Deren Epley, Destiney Epley, D.J. Epley and Mandy Burn; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Sellers and Max Burn; five younger siblings, Vernon Camp and his wife, Melba, Amarillo, Texas, Virginia Kerns and her husband, Clyde, Weatherford, Patricia Brent and her husband, Gene, Chouteau, Shirley Wilkins and her husband, Ron, Conroe, and Dennis Camp, Fox; and numerous other relatives and friends of the family.

Bearers are Mike Harmon, Mitchell Wilkins, Tony Brent, Rick Roach, Mark Camp and Kyle Camp. Honorary bearers are Josh Hamilton and Ted Woolman.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Ratliff City.
