Pruitt City - SARAH JANE WARD CAMP, 64, of Pruitt City, died Saturday, February 24, 2007, in Ardmore.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Fox Baptist Church with her brother-in-law, the Rev. Bob Keck, officiating. Burial will be in Camp Family Cemetery under direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
Sarah was born Jan. 6, 1943, in Lonestar Camp in Fox, to Hays Benjamin and Nora Elliott Ward. She was the youngest of nine children attending school at Fox, graduating from there in 1960. She married Dennis Alan Camp on June 18, 1960, in Amarillo, Texas.
After she and Dennis married, they attended school at the University of Oklahoma. After graduation, they lived in Oklahoma City, Madill and Ardmore before moving back home to Pruitt City in 1972, where they have resided since.
Sarah was a very talented pianist, playing for Fox Baptist Church and also giving lessons. She and Dennis have owned and operated the Camp Pharmacy in Ratliff City for the past 25 years.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis of the home in Pruitt City; two daughters, Karla Harmon and husband Mike of Sapulpa, and Kristie Watkins of Pruitt City; a son, Kyle Camp and wife Carol of Pruitt City; grandchildren, Dane Harmon and wife Anita, Neal Harmon, John Watkins, Alissa Harmon, Lynsie Watkins, Allie Camp and Lauren Murray; a great-grandchild, Ashton Harmon; sisters, Nelda Keck and husband Bob of Woodford, and Bobbie Stone and husband George of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Jim Ward and wife Pat of Madill, and Brad Ward and wife Betty of Gordonville, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Danny; and sisters, Lavina, Beth, Nora Lee and Bette Jean.
Bearers will be Nub Sullivan, Chris Tivis, Richard Wilburn, Dane Harmon, Neal Harmon and John Watkins.
