Pioneer Passes Away
R.G. Burrows, a pioneer stockman of the Newville country, passed away early Thursday morning after a brief illness. Mr. Burrows was one of the first settlers in this section of the valley, and was past eighty. He has been a prominent rancher of the foothill country for many years. He was a Master Mason and was prominent in Masonic circles. A number of local Masons attended the funeral which was held from the family residence near Newville yesterday at one o'clock Willard Clark officiating for the local Masonic lodge. The deceased is survived by a widow, three sons and four daughters. - Transcribed by E.
