F.M. Burrows of Willows died Dec. 13, 1991, at the Willow View Convalescent Hospital. He was 88.
Mr. Burrows was born April 12, 1903, at a ranch in Chrome.
A teacher at Bayliss, Bryte, and Gilroy from 1929-35, he came back to the area in 1935 and was a rancher at Chrome. He was a member of the Glenn County Farm Bureau and a former member of the Woolgrowers Association. He enjoyed playing cards and chess as well as hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Helen E. Burrows. Mrs. Burrows died in September 1991.
He is survived by a son, Robert Burrows of Willows; sister Beatrice Burrows of Stockton; grandsons, Jeff and Chuck Burrows, and great-granddaughter, Codie Rae Burrows, all of Willows.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Chrome Cemetery. Rev. Gene Anderson of the Federated Church of Orland will officiate. - Transcribed by E.
