Helen E. Burrows, 83
Graveside services were held Wednesday at Chrome Cemetery for Helen E. Burrows, 83, of Willows. The Rev. Gene Anderson officiated.
She died Sept. 4, 1991, at Glenn General Hospital.
Born in Lake County June 16, 1907, she has been a resident of Willows for the past three years.
Mrs. Burrows was a resident of Chrome since 1934. She retired from the Glenn County School District after 30 years of teaching. She was a graduate of Chico State University and was a past president of the California Teacher's Association.
She and her husband ranched in the Chrome area. Mrs. Burrows was a member of the Glenn County Farm Bureau and was an avid card player and hunter.
On Jan. 13, 1991, the couple celebrated 62 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband, F. E.[sic] Burrows, of Willows; son, Robert; two sisters, Gladys Moore, of Gridley, and Norma Anderson, of Kansas City, Mo; brother, Hiram Reynolds, of Yuba City; two grandsons, Jeff Burrows and Chuck Burrows, both of Willows; and a great-granddaughter, Cody Rae Burrows, of Willows.
