Mrs. John Barber of Plaingrove, Passes Away on Sunday.
Mrs. Mary Barber, wife of John Barber of Plaingrove, died suddenly on Sunday evening, aged 68 years. She was well as usual on Saturday but on Saturday evening complained of a pain in her stomach. A physician was summoned and pronounced it congestion of the stomach. In spite of all that could be done for her relief, she grew rapidly worse until death came, about 6 o'clock on Sunday evening. Mrs. Barber was a consistent member of the Plaingrove United Presbyterian church. She had passed all her life in the community and had endeared herself to a large circle of friends by her kindly disposition and benevolent ways. She leaves five children as follows, Ada Z. and Lillie, who are at home; Mrs. Thomas McCoy of Plain Grove ,Mrs. Fannie Jackson, wife of Rev. H. T. Jackson of Slurghat, ILl., and Mrs. Jennie Dickey of Oil City. Funeral on WEdnesday if Rev. Jackson and wife arrive in time from Illinois. Carriages from Offutt's.
