Mrs. George Thomas Cornwell died, after a brief illness of pneumonia, in her home, near Woodbine church, Wednesday [April 5, 1911] morning, at an advanced age. The funeral took place from Woodbine church yesterday afternoon, Rev. T. T. Noland, pastor of the church, officiating, and the interment was in the family burying ground.

Will of Mary Francis Cornwell

In the name of God amen. I M. F. Cornwell do make and publish this my last will and testament as follows:
After the payment of all my just debts, I give, bequeath and devise unto my husband Geo. T. Cornwell during his life, all of my property of every kind and description, and at his death, I give, bequeath and devise all of the said property to my said husband's children and the grand child Rosa Lee Beich to take the same portion that one of the children take. It being the intention of this will to give a life estate to the said Geo. T. Cornwell.
And I hereby appoint Geo. T. Cornwell as executor of this my last will and testament.
Given under my hand and seal this 24th day of April 1902.

In the clerk's office of the Circuit Court of Prince William County, May 8th, 1911. The last will and testament of M. F. Cornwell decd was produced before me by Geo. T. Cornwell, the executor therein named, and being proved by the oaths of J. B. T. Thornton and W. Willis Davies the subscribing witnesses thereto is ordered to be recorded as the true last will and testament of the said M. F. Cornwell decd. and on motion of Geo. T. Cornwell, who made oath and together with E. F. Bibb, H. M. Woodyard, and M. P. Beavers his sureties (who justified as to their sufficiency) entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $500 conditioned according to law which bond is ordered to be received, certificate is granted the said Geo. T. Cornwell executor for obtaining probate of the said will in due form.
