Maurice Alexander Sr., born on 18 November 1890 at Charleston, South Carolina, the son of Gustave Alexander and Minnie (Brown) Alexander, died on 4 January 1965 at Coral Gables, Florida, and was buried two days later at Mount Nebo Kendall Memorial Gardens in Glenvar Heights, Florida. His parents and his first wife, Louise Eleanor (Grouse) Alexander, whom he married on 25 November 1920 at the Hotel Majestic on W. 72nd Street in Manhattan, New York, preceded him in death. His second wife, Theresa Alexander; and at least one of his two sons by his first marriage, Maurice Alexander Jr., survived him.
