Charles Blair, 65, a long time resident of Fort Dodge and retired employe (sic) of the National Gypsum Company, died at Ellen’s Convalescent Health Center, Sunday afternoon following a long illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Laufersweiler Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Birchmier, pastor of Epworth United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Carpenter Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Surviving is a brother, Calvin, Prescott, Ariz.
Mr. Blair was born at Panora and attended schools of the area. As a young man he came to Fort Dodge where he married Mrs. Lillie Gilbert. Mr. Blair retired from active work in 1967. Mrs. Blair died in 1968. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
