Robert Lee Alexander, age 89 of Austin, passed away on May 21, 2005, at home with his family at his side.

He was born November 15, 1915, in Leander, Texas.

"Mr. Lee was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the European Theater in World War II, he remained in contact with many of his friends from his unit until the most recent years of his life. He was a true example of "The Greatest Generation. A lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge, he was also a Shriner.

Surviving are his daughter, Patt Schneider; granddaughter, Paula Whitaker and her husband, Randy; grandson, Earl Schneider and his wife, Melanie; great-grandchildren, Alice Ann, Tiffany, Stephen and Dallas.

Visitation was at All Faiths Funeral Services on South Congress Avenue on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services were held at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at 11:00 a.m.
