Clifton Alford is Found Dead
The body of Willis Clifton Alford, 52-year-old Houston resident, an employee of
Martin's Plumbing Shop, was found Tuesday morning in his room at Moore's Motel,
where he was residing.
A coroner's jury ruled that he died of natural causes, and time of death was
fixed at about 10 pm, Saturday night, Feb. 21.
Several years ago, his brother, Elton Alford, was also found dead. He was
residing in a house near Gulf States Ceramic Tile.
Funeral services were conducted from the Houston Funeral Home chapel at 10 am,
Wednesday, Feb. 25, with the Rev. Bettymarie Grishom officiating.
The deceased was a lifelong resident of this county. He was a member of Rhodes
Chapel Methodist Church.
He leaves his father, A I Alford of Houston; two brothers, Maurice Alford and
Modess Alford, both of Houston; and a sister, Mrs. F W Holloman of Bermuda
