Wayne Leland Acker, 81, of Nevada died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Rolling Green Village there, where he had lived the past two months. The body was cremated, and private graveside services will be held at Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Mr. Acker was born in Schickly, Neb., and had lived in Fontanelle before moving to Nevada two years ago. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Creston Veterans of Foreign Wars and Ames American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Virginia, a daughter, Kathleen Wheelock of Nevada; a son, Donald of Bay City, Wis.; a sister, Jean Darrow of Fontanelle; a brother, Wilbur of Creston; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada is handling arrangements.
