Ferrera, Michele, 79, of Boca Raton, FL and Detroit, MI passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011.
Michele was a remarkable man that valued honesty, integrity, hard work and most of all family. His life truly embodied the American Dream. Raised south of Rome, in a small village of Vicalvi, he came to the United States at the age of 18 and worked with his father and brothers to build their business; Rocco Ferrera & Company. From Chicago O'Hare to West Palm Beach International Airport, and all points in between, of all of Michele's successes in life, he valued or prized nothing more than his family.
Adoring husband of 58 years to Doreen A. (Morga). Loving father of Emily Felhaber (Randy), Linda Marrocco and Diane Rolfe (Bryan). Proud grandfather of Julie Klotz (William), Armanda Hanson (Brian), Michelle Miller (Myron) and Jacqueline Thompson (Matthew), Michael, Robert, and Katharine Rolfe. Great grandfather of Tyler and Katelyn Hanson, Jackson, Griffin, and Colton Miller, and Jack Klotz.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, March 3 at Glick Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, March 4 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton. Entombment will follow at The Gardens Memorial Park.
