Frank Alford, 84, a resident of 732 Main Street, Franklinton, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14th, at Heritage Manor in Franklinton. A member of the First Baptist Church, a 50-year member of Franklinton Masonic Lodge Number 101, F&AM, and a retired employee of the Town of Franklinton, he was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Eric (Mary) Fussell of Franklinton; three brothers, O.T. Alford of Bogalusa, the Rev. Ronald Alford of Mendenhall, Mississippi, and L.D. Alford of Baton Rouge; and several nieces and nephews. The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services, which were conducted Sunday, June 15th, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Barlow officiating. Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery. Pallbearers were Woodrow Kemp, Walton Alford, Randall Alford, Larry Alford, Jerry Alford, and Royce Wayne Alford.
