Ida, a resident of Abiquiu, was predeceased by her husband 60 years, Bernardo; parents Belarmino and Agapita T. Lopez; 2 sisters and 6 brothers.
Ida was survived by her daughters: Virginia Lopez (husband Juan) and Rosita Archuleta (companion Ostalio); sons: Jerry Archuleta (wife Nora) and Bernardo Archuleta (wife Kari); brother-in-law Remigio Archuleta; sister-in-law Candelaria Lopez. One of Ida's greatest joys was spending time with her 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and her many friends.
Ida was deeply faithful and an active member of La Sociedad de San Jose de San Antonio, La Sagrada Familia, and Ayudanta de La Morada de Moqui. In her youth, Ida worked at Libby's and Del Monte in California. After returning to New Mexico, she worked for many years for Georgia O'Keefe and at the Ghost Ranch. She was a very talented woman who enjoyed weaving, crocheting, making jewelry and pottery. But, one of her greatest joys were her gardens, especially her roses. Ida and her husband, Bernardo, provided a loving home to their children and extended this love as they also raised their nephew Max and grandson Mario.
Public visitation and Rosary were on May 23, 2013 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu. Mass of Christian burial was on May 24, 2013 also at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu. Burial followed in the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Christopher Dominovich, Anthony Archuleta, Daniel Archuleta, Joel Dominguez, Ostalio Archuleta, Joe E. Lopez, Fermin Lopez and Branden Dominovich.
