William Wesley Hartman Jr., 71, of Millers, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.
Born Aug. 26, 1940, in West Virginia, he was the son of the late William Wesley and Edna M. Delawder Hartman. He was the husband of Doris Thorpe Hartman.
Years ago he was a mechanic and tow motor driver for Chesapeake Paper Board. He was an Army veteran and a member of Black Rock Church in Glenrock, Pa.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children William Eugene Hartman, of Jessup, and Kenneth Lee Hartman, of Millers; a sister, Sharon Thompson, of North Carolina; a brother, Ronald Hartman, of Millers; a stepbrother, Louis Loughry, of Alabama; stepsisters Sandra Green, of Taneytown, June Bitzel, of Westminster, and Glenda Woerner, of Orrtanna, Pa.; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Jean Hartman; and siblings Bertha Mathers, and Mason and Eugene Hartman.
