Westminster,Maryland --- George David Harris, 53, of Westminster, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997, at the Carroll County General Hospital.
Born April 10, 1943, in Cumberland, he was the son of George M. and Mary (Epperly) Harris of Wiley Ford, W.Va. He was the husband of Carolyn Harris.
Mr. Harris was currently employed at Ron's Automotive in Manchester. He had worked in the banking industry for 23 years, 18 of which were with Equity Trust, and five years with City Corp. He was an Army Reservist for 20 years, with the 265 Heavy Motor Supply in Cumberland; a former member of the Lions Club; and a past member of the Hampstead American Legion. He was a 1961 graduate of Ridgeley High School.
Surviving in addition to his parents and wife are children Patrick David Harris of Baltimore, Joe Marc Harris of Westminster, Gina Marie Harris of Silver Spring; and a brother, Paul A. Harris of Westminster.
The family will receive friends at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at the Manchester Baptist Church, 2933 Manchester Baptist Church Road, Manchester, on Monday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Earl Gray officiating.
Interment will be in the Manchester Baptist Church Cemetery.
