Mrs. M. Rindfleisch Buried Yesterday
Mrs. Anna Rindfleisch, wife of M. Rindfleisch, died at their home in Lahoma Tuesday, January 24, at 11:30 a.m., of heart failure after a long illness. The funeral was held from the M.E. church Thursday at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. Hoefflin preaching the sermon. The sermon and services were in German. Burial was in the Mennonite cemetery, north of town.
The deceased was born at Hokenkirck, Germany, March 20, 1844, being 66 years, 10 months and 4 days of age at the time of death. She came to America when she was 20 years of age, landing at Baltimore, Md., and was married to Michael Rindfleisch at that place, November 24, 1870. Two years later they moved to St. Louis, and soon after went to Ablemen, Wisc., where they lived on a farm until seven years ago, when they came to Oklahoma.
To them were born four sons, one of whom died in infancy and another at the age of 20. The living children are W.A. Rindfleisch of Ablemon, Wisc., and H.E. Rindfleisch of Lahoma.
Among those left to mourn her loss are three sisters and four brothers, seven grandchildren and 81 nephews and nieces and a host of friends, at every place where she has resided, for she was a good neighbor and a Christian woman, joining church when she was 18 years of age. She was always ready to help the needy and her greatest pleasure was in waiting on the sick.
