Services for Golden Resident
Donald L. Beebe, 47, well known resident of Golden, died at 11:43 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 1983 in his home in Golden.
He was born March 21, 1936 in Schuyler County, the son of Ray and Vemka Torsch Beebe.
He married Elizabeth Kay Rose on May 30, 1958 in Camp Point. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this year.
Mr. Beebe was employed by the Adams County Housing Authority.
He was a member of the Christian Church at Camp Point.
Surviving are his wife: two sons, Richard Craig of Harlingen, Texas and Curtis Lee of Golden; four brothers: Alvin of San Lorenzo, Calif., Lloyd of Golden, Richard of Augusta and James of Colchester, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceeded in death by his parents and one brother.
Funeral services for Mr. Beebe were held Saturday, July 30 at 2 p.m. in the Briggs Funeral Home in Golden with Rev. Mike Brown and Rev. Jim Poll officiating. The organist was Mrs. Alvin Meinits.
Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta, Illinois. Pallbearers were Robert McCoy, Carl Aden, Don Gallamore, Gay Stabler, Merle Koontz and Jim Boone.
