Death of Mrs. R. Amundson
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Mrs. Rasmus Amunsdon who died at the Deaconess hospital on Wednesday of last week from heart disease, of which she had been a sufferer for the past year. The funeral was held from the home in this city, conducted by the Rev. B. A. Benson of the Lutheran church interment was made at Midway cemetery in Moody county.
Mrs. Amundson, whose maiden name was Mattie Munson, was born in Norway and was married there to Mr. Amundson. About 37 years ago they came to America settling on a farm in Moody county, where they resided until about 20 years ago when they moved to Brookings, where they had made their home since. Mrs. Amundson's age at her death was 54 years, 4 months and 2 days.
The deceased is survived by her husband and by the following children; A. J. Amundson of Brookings, Mrs. Louise Svales of Huron, Mrs. Adam Lesney of Brookings, Mrs. Ed Schafer of Aurora, and Emma and Violet, at home.
