| Birth: | 1847 | | Death: | 1927 |  Belgium Pioneer is Dead - Mrs. Caroline Antoine, a pioneer resident of the town of Belgium, passed away at the home of her son Edward in the town of Belgium on Thursday of last week. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. Deceased attained an age of 80 years. The funeral took place on Monday. Services were held at the St. Mary's Church at Lake Church at ten o'clock in the morning and interment was made at the parish cemetery. Rev. Huepper conducted the last sad rites. Mrs. Antoine, whose maiden name was Caroline Mueller was born in Germany and came to this country with her parents when three years old. The family settled at Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. About eight years later they moved to Sturgeon Bay. There she was married to Frank Antoine. They settled at Sturgeon Bay where Mr. Antoine was manager of a saw mill. Sixteen years later they moved to a farm in the town of Belgium, where she has since resided and where her death occurred. Her husband preceded her in death six years ago. She is survived by one son Edward. Three children preceded her in death. Pall bearers were: Adolph Schanen, Ed. Schanen, Aloys Wester, Alfred Antoine, Nic Wester and Eugene Antoine. The following out of town relatives attended the funeral: M. J. Even and Adolph Wester of Chicago, Mrs. Anna Magnet, son Ed., Mrs. Leona Cassidy, Mrs. Catharine Pauly, Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Ernster and George Antoine of Milwaukee, Mrs. Margaret Antoine, Mrs. Andy Burmesch and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Krier of Random Lake and Mrs. and Mrs. Ed Schanen of Saukville.
