Funeral services for Anna Mae Knight, 78, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jehovah Baptist Church with the Rev. Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow at Jehovah Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Anna Mae was born on May 4, 1927, in Milo to the late Ellison and Virgia Jackson Knight and died on Dec. 28, 2005, at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, five sisters, three brothers, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

She was educated at the Lone Oak School in Milo. Anna was baptized under the leadership of the Rev. G.W. Roberts at St. Paul Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Ardmore most of her life, where she was employed by Margaret Cohenour for over 50 years who she adored dearly. Anna Mae was a woman full of grace who always had a smile on her face. She never met a human soul who wasn't welcome in her home. Anna married James Traylor Nov. 29, 1968.

Anna leaves to cherish her memories four brothers, Roscoe Knight, Dan Knight, Ellison "Peter" Knight Jr. and Charles Knight; one granddaughter, who she raised from age two, Margaret Roberts, of the home; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives an d friends.

Bearers are James Knight, Harold Knight, Jesse McGee, Pete Knight, David Swindall and Stanley Agers. Flowers girls are Tisha McGee, Erica Washington, Johnna Knight, Alaysia Knight, Danielle Roberson, Ja Quetta Roberson and Angela Knight
