Ardmore, OK — Services for Warren Gene Kendricks, 45, of Lone Grove, will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008, at CrystalRock Cathedral with the Rev. Kermit Kendricks officiating. Interment will follow in Jehovah Cemetery, Milo.
Born May 18, 1962, in Wynnewood to Tennie and Verlene P. Cohee Kendricks Jr., Warren entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 27, 2008, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Royce and Laura Cohee; paternal grandparents, Tennie and Virgie Kendricks; a brother, Tony Kendricks; and an uncle, Edward Cohee.
Warren was a graduate of Ardmore High School and was employed the past 11 years by the Chickasaw Nation. He worked as a chef and food manager at WinStar Casino. He had previously worked at several locations in food services. He loved to fish and play dominoes.
Warren married Velvet Scott on Dec. 24, 1992, in Ardmore.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Miriah Kendricks of the home; three sons, Donte Bryant, Lone Grove, Deondre J. Kendricks, Pauls Valley, and Marcuchio Downing, Ardmore; three grandchildren, Lanisha Bryant, Devon Gorman and Kierra Gorman; his parents, Tennie Kendricks Jr. and Verlene Kendricks-Jackson, both of Ardmore; a brother, Karl Kendricks, Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Cordelia Pickens and her husband, Calvin, Ardmore; and his mother-in-law, Estherine Scott, Ardmore.
Bearers will be Brent Cornish, Zeno Scott Jr., Edward Brown, Terrance Prince, Victor Fuller, Lee Anderson and Cory Cornish. Honorary bearers are Kim Smith, Travis Cohee, Wayne McGee, Jerry Ainsworth, Calvin Pickens, Bruce Smith, Marvin McGee, Billy Swan and Albert Swan Jr. Flower girls will be Carla Cohee, Pat Cohee, Donna Prince, Sharon Scott, Denise Scott, Gladys Johnson, Mary Franklin, Deidra Hendricks and Lawanda Anderson.
