CORNING -- Samuel Paul Blackwell, 70, of Corning died Tuesday, June 18. Born at Warm Springs, he was a gas pipeline worker.


Survivors include two sons, Danny Blackwell of Tarboro, N.C., and Randy Blackwell of Applegate, Ore.; one daughter, Donna Council of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; two sisters, Thala Prince of Corning and Delta Troutman of Pocahontas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Neta Ann and Richard Lee Blackwell.


Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the McNabb Funeral Home chapel in Pocahontas. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery in Tucker, Mo.


Visitation will be today from 6:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
