Mrs. Adams, Formerly of Elysian, Dies
Funeral services for Mrs. A. T. Adams of Minneapolis, the former Maggie May Warburton of Elysian, who suffered a stroke Monday, Oct. 5, and passed away Thursday night, Oct. 8, at St. Barnabus hospital, Minneapolis, were held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at Werness Brothers chapel, Minneapolis, with the Rev. Eugene C. Prosser, canon of St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, Minneapolis, officiating.
The Rev. W. C. Wedge, vicar of St. Andrew's Episcopal church at Waterville, officiated at graveside services Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Cedar Hill cemetery, Elysian, where interment took place.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur Adams of Minneapolis, one son, Harold Adams of Seattle, Wash., two granddaughters, Marguerite and Karen Lee Adams, also of Seattle, one sister, Mrs. Inez Kisor of Morristown, six nephews: Wm. L. Warburton, Waterville; Nelson W. Root, Minneapolis; Frank and Robert Root of Elysian; Lloyd Cook of Faribault; Ronald Cook, Fresno, Calif.; and one niece, Miss Mildred Cook of Faribault.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Joeph and Abba Warburton, three brothers, Nelson, William and Dorr Warburton, and four sisters, Ellen, age four years and four months, Mrs. J. W. Root, (Phoebe Ellen), Mrs. F. A. Lange (Mary), all of Elysian, and Mrs. T. H. Cook, (Hortense) of Faribault.
Attending the services were relatives and friends from Seattle, Wash., Minneapolis, Faribault, Morristown, Waterville, Mankato, Janesville, Eagle Lake, Madison Lake, Dundas and Elysian.
Mrs. Adams was born March 17, 1873 in the Elysian community where she grew to young womanhood. After completing her education she taught in the village school and also was a milliner there. Following her marriage to Mr. Adams, they located in Minneapolis where they have since resided. Because of illness, he was unable to attend the funeral.

Mrs. A. T. Adams Laid To Rest Here
Mrs. Arthur R. Adams of Minneapolis, the former Maggie Warburton of Elysian, passed away Friday, October 9, at St. Barnabas Hospital in Minneapolis, where she was taken after suffering a severe stroke a few days previous. She was 80 years of age. For a number of years she suffered from arthritis and a few years ago she broke her hip and had been an invalid since.
Services were held Saturday at the Werness funeral chapel in Minneapolis at Eleven o'clock, with the Rev. Eugene C. Prosser of the Cathedral Church of St. Mark in that city, officiating. Interment was made here that afternoon at Cedar Hill cemetery. The Rev. Wm. C. Wedge, pastor of St. Andrew;s Episcopal Church at Waterville officiated at the graveside services here.
Maggie May Warburton, daughter of Joseph and Abba Warburton of Elysian, was born March 17, 1873 at Elysian. Her early life was spent in Elysian where she was an active member of Grace Episcopal church and for a few years was a teacher in the rural and village schools.
Her marriage to Arthur T. Adams of Minneapolis took place July 2, 1906, and since their marriage resided in Minneapolis. She was a devout member of the Catholic Church of St. Mark in that city.
Surviving are her husband of Minneapolis; one son Harold Adams and two granddaughters, Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Inez Kisor of Morristown; six nephews, Frank and Robert Root of Elysian, Nelson Root of Minneapolis, William l. Warburton of Waterville, Lloyd Cook of Faribault, Ronald Cook, Fresno, California; one niece, Mildred Cook of Faribault; several great nieces and great nephews.
